Special Guest Kristie Cook
Supernatural Chronicles: THE WOLVES Synopsis: For far too long, Sundae Grayson has lived under the tight control of her father and the wolf pack he leads. At twenty-two and with college degree in hand, she’s ready to embark on a journey of her own. But when her father is attacked and nearly killed, she finds a cryptic note in his pocket—a riddle she must solve to save him. Doing so means delaying the life she desires, but her father is worth it. Not to mention that if he dies, she becomes alpha, and she’s so not ready for that. Thank the Angels for Trevor, leader of his own pack and her lifelong crush, who volunteers to help her. The riddle sends them on the hunt of their lives. After all, they must solve the mystery, find the relic they need, and deliver it on time to save not only their packs, but all of the Amadis, who serve as the Angels’ army on Earth. If they fail, the Demons will win over the world. But what must be sacrificed for the sake of the greater good? This novella takes place in the internationally bestselling Soul Savers series by Kristie Cook, so be prepared to see some favorite characters. The story's timeline falls between Promise, Book 1, and Purpose, Book 2. If you’re new to the Soul Savers series, discover the rest, where you'll meet more than werewolves, but also vampires, witches, and warlocks. The further you get into the series, the more creatures you'll discover, including shapeshifters, fae, sorcerers, angels, and demons. The series in suggested reading order: #1 - Promise #2 - Purpose Novella - Genesis #3 - Devotion #4 - Power #5 - Wrath #6 - Torment #7 - Faith NOTE: This is a paranormal series that crosses from New Adult to Adult. It contains mature content meant for 16 years and older. This series is not a YA. GUEST POST: Sundae and Trevor from The Wolves of Supernatural Chronicles: The New Orleans Collection By Kristie Cook The Wolves is the second part of Supernatural Chronicles: The New Orleans Collection, starring Sundae and Trevor. They’re both minor characters in my Soul Savers series. They appear a couple of times in the main series, and Sundae’s pack is in two of the stories in Wonder: A Soul Savers Collection of Holiday Short Stories & Recipes. When the Dynamis group was discussing the Supernatural Chronicles idea, I thought these werewolves would make perfect main characters. Besides I’ve always wondered about their history. In the main series, Sundae is the leader of the wolf pack in Georgia, and Trevor is the alpha of a Florida-based pack. I’ve always imagined Trevor as a rough and gruff alpha, as he first appears in the main series, but he kind of surprised me when he showed up again with Sundae in a later book. I started thinking more about their backstory – how Sundae became alpha of the oldest and one of the largest wolf packs in my world, especially considering her age and gender, and how they got together. What was their romance story? The Wolves takes us back to it. Although it’s kind of an emotional story, I enjoyed writing The Wolves because it gave me this new perspective of both Sundae and Trevor, but mainly Trevor. Now that I was seeing him through Sundae’s eyes, someone who’d loved him since she was a young girl, I discovered his softer side. The tough leader we see in the main series is only one side of him. This story didn’t get to explore why he’s the way he is, besides needing to be as alpha, so there’s more to tell, but we do get a glimpse into the depth of this character, and his mate. A lot of readers question why authors feel the need to write spinoffs with side characters, especially very minor ones. I wonder why you wouldn’t want to know more about them. They’re like real people—what we see in one situation is not the whole person—and they all have their own story. I loved being able to explore more of Sundae and Trevor and look forward to going further with them in the future.
